Paddy's Pawfect Salmon Snaps: home made treats for your houndd
11 oz Mug for Measuring

Ingredients

210g Tinned Salmon ( skinless and boneless)

1 Medium Sized Egg

200g Rice Flour ( 1 mug)

1 tablespoon Salmon Oil

4 tablespoon Water

Tinned Salmon

Any brand of canned salmon will do, however a skinless and boneless option is preferable.

1 Medium Sized Egg

We have made this recipe with a large egg from the fridge which worked just as well!

Rice Flour

Rice flour has the benefit of being gluten free, making it good for greyhounds with sensitive stomachs. It is also high in calcium and vitamins, thus a healthy addition to your home made treats.

Salmon Oil

Adding 1 tablespoon of salmon oil, helps bind the ingredients and adds to the fishy smell of the treats! Here is a link to the salmon oil we use: https://amzn.to/3PXTCbD

Equipment

Kitchen scales or a mug for measuring

Bowl for mixing dough

Oven

Silicone Pawprint Mould ( heres the one we use: https://amzn.eu/d/27tGwUD )

To start, preheat your oven to 180° C

In a bowl, combine 210g of salmon ( skinless and boneless) and one medium-sized egg.

Next, add 200g ( 1 11oz mug) of rice flour, 1 tablespoon of salmon oil and and 4 tablespoons of water to the bowl. Mix everything together until a stiff dough forms.

Grab the silicone pawprint moulds and fill with the dough.

Once you've filled the moulds, carefully transfer them to your baking tray.

Pop the tray into the preheated oven and bake for approximately 20 minutes or until they turn golden brown. Keep an eye on them as oven temperatures may vary.

Once they're done baking, remove the tray from the oven and let them cool completely.

You now have a batch of delicious and home-made Paddy’s Pawsome Salmon Snaps ready to be enjoyed by your hound. Your greyhound will be wagging their tail in anticipation!

Store in an airtight container in the fridge to keep them fresh.

Paddy says: The treats are delightful! I love the treats with the salmon oil added as they smell extra fishy! If your hoomans don't want to add the salmon oil, they can just add an extra tablespoon of water.

Home made treats are a fantastic way to show your greyhound some extra love and care. Plus, you will have peace of mind knowing exactly what goes into their snacks.
